The Congregation of the Augustinians of the Assumption (A.A.) was founded in 1845 by Father Emmanuel d’Alzon. It is both modern and committed to Tradition, that is, attuned to the needs of each era and to the great causes of God and humanity. This is its vocation, as expressed in its motto:
“Thy kingdom come!”
Today, we are present on all five continents. As followers of Saint Augustine, we live out our faith, prayer, and ministry in community. Together, we are called to address the three major challenges of religious indifference, exclusion, and injustice. We summarize this as follows:
“Servants of unity in a divided world”
