Youth pilgrimage on the Chemin de Compostelle!

This summer, the Assumptionist brothers invite you to set off on a pilgrimage along the famous Camino de Santiago de Compostela. Together, we’ll walk from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Logroño, in the heart of the magnificent landscapes of northern Spain.

This pilgrimage is an opportunity to grow spiritually and experience true fellowship in a faith-filled community.

Whether you’re looking for silence, reflection, friendship or a deeper relationship with God, each stage of the Camino becomes a source of peace, simplicity and inner renewal.

Practical information:

Itinerary : Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port → Logroño (Spain)

Dates : July 20 to 26, 2026

For those who wish to extend the experience, a 10-day hike to Belorado (Spain) is available.

Daily distance between 19 and 28 km per day

Age of participants 18 – 35 years old

Accommodation Hostels and guesthouses (€10 – €15 per night)

Meals Meals: numerous catering options will be available along the route.
Participants are responsible for their own meals (approx. €10-15 per day).

Deposit 50 € (covering group insurance and shared activities)

Personal insurance Each participant must have valid health and travel insurance covering the entire duration of their stay in Spain.

Personal responsibility Pilgrims are responsible for their own personal belongings, travel arrangements and daily expenses (meals, accommodation, personal needs). By joining the pilgrimage, each participant acknowledges the risks involved in long-distance walking, and accepts responsibility for his or her own health and safety throughout the journey.

Spiritual life and activities :

Throughout the pilgrimage, we will live together:

  • daily mass (in English and French),
  • the rosary,
  • times of personal prayer,
  • walks in silence,
  • moments of sharing and fraternity,
  • visits to cultural and spiritual sites.

Documents required :

Participants must have :

  • a valid identity document (passport or ID card),
  • all necessary travel documents.

Trip organization

Participants are responsible for their own transport.

Arrival

  • July 19, 2026 afternoon in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port
  • Start of the walk on the morning of July 20

For participants coming from the UK, recommended flight to :

  • Bordeaux or Bayonne (France), then train to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port.

Back

  • Departure from Logroño on July 26
  • return via Bilbao the following day.

For participants continuing to Belorado (July 29), the nearest airport is also Bilbao.
