In conjunction with the local Caritas, the parish of Sainte-Thérèse, run by an Assumptionist community, is a place of solidarity and mutual aid: accompanying the sick and elderly, helping families in need, collecting and distributing clothing, food, furniture and more…
A strong international and multi-cultural dimension
Primarily serving Greek Catholics of the Latin rite, the parish also opens its doors to Filipino and Nigerian communities, as well as to migrants of various origins. The Assumptionist community is made up of 4 priests, Alexandros (Greek), Rex (Filipino), Janvier and Euloge (DRC).
The volunteer will work with the local community and volunteers on solidarity missions. He/she may also provide support to the Sisters of Mother Teresa working in the parish.
Examples of actions
- Collection of donations from benefactors everywhere
- Receipt and distribution of foodstuffs between the various migrant groups and the Sisters of Charity communities
- Collect cans from migrants and drop them off at the sorting center
