Collège Mgr Michel Canonne is located in Ejeda, a rural commune in the Ampanihy Ouest district. Under the supervision of the Assumptionists, this general-education school was opened in 2003, and runs from the sixth to the final year of secondary school. 85% of the local population lives from the primary sector (livestock and agriculture). The Collège Mgr Michel Canonne offers a quality education that should benefit the whole local community in the future. The college contributes to the education of young people in the local community. For the time being, the majority of students who enroll come from Ejeda, with a few from bush schools. The college has 385 students and 22 teachers.

Missions
– Teach the French language to the weakest students to bring them up to standard.
– Help other French teachers renew their teaching methods. Run one or two French sessions for bush teachers (primary level).
– As part of extracurricular activities, lead a drama group or newspaper team at the middle school.
